TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED WITH RWI & EARLY YEARS EXPERIENCE
SCALE 5 – Salary £25,137 pro-rata,
CONTRACT: term time only on a fixed term contract to the 21st July 2021 – to start as soon as possible
HOURS: 08.30- 16:00 with 30 mins lunch break
We are looking for a teaching assistant to join our team of committed and skilful staff. You must have a GCSE English and Maths qualification and experience with delivering Read, Write, Inc in the Early Years.
You will be required to work under the direction of the Class Teacher and the Inclusion leader. Your duties will include:
Establishing productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
Working with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment
Provide cover to release class teacher for planning time
Working with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
Working with individuals and small groups to ensure high quality learning.
Knowledge of delivering Read, Write, Inc
Monitoring and evaluating pupils’ responses to learning activities through observation and planned recording of achievement against pre-determined objectives
Providing objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, to the teacher on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence
Being responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacher, contributing to reviews of systems/records as requested
Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
Able to motivate and inspire.
