08 Jul Healthy Smoothies & Snacks
This week year 5 have been making healthy smoothies and snacks. We started of by identifying the different food groups in our recipes and establishing what makes the recipe healthy. We then used a range of skills including chopping, measuring and blending to create scrumptious smoothies and cereal bars. The children thoroughly loved these lessons and enjoyed being creative.
Armani – I really enjoyed this lesson because we got to work together to create a smoothie and cereal bars. It was good working in a team to create this.
Naima – I made a smoothie with my partner. I enjoyed making the smoothie because we got to learn the step by step process to making a smoothie which I didn’t know before. I didn’t really like my smoothie as I don’t like banana but I will change this next time I make the recipe.
