02 Oct Year 4 gets noisy!
In their science lessons, Year 4 are exploring sound. Today, they made string telephones and instruments out of straw. After they had tested them out, they made observations about how sound travels. They noticed that if the string was tight, rather than hanging loose, the sound travelled along the string. However, if one of them held the string the sound didn’t travel along it. They also found out that they put one cup on their head, and someone talked into the other end, they could still hear the sound – even though it wasn’t on their ear! It seemed to vibrate through our head. What wonderful science work. Well done Year 4.
