Year 2 Author Visit
Ruth Stevens, Ms Kennedy’s local friend, visited Year 2 this week to read her debut children’s book, ‘Cally the Curious Caterpillar Who Wanted to Fly’. The children were excited to meet Ms Stevens and listened attentively as she read her story to them. They gasped in wonder at the crocheted caterpillar and butterfly which Ruth brought out of her goody bag and then discussed the message of the book – ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. At the end of the reading, the children were given the opportunity to ask their own curious questions and they even gave her ideas for her next book. Ruth told us that it will be about the importance of friendship. We can’t wait to read it!
