12 Nov The Big Draw at Alexandra
After half term, we returned to school for a week of creativity. Alexandra Primary took part in The Big Draw for the third year running. The Big Draw celebrates drawing and creativity. This year, we focused on the book ‘The Dot’ by Peter H. Reynolds and explored the theme that everyone of us is creative in our own special way. We were creative in various ways during the week – drawing with chalk in the playground, creating a ‘dot graffitti wall’, creating our own books for sketching and sketching in them every day and we finished the week by inviting parents in to have a creative afternoon on the Friday. The theme of that afternoon was to create some art based around the idea of a dot. When you come in to school, have a look for our ‘dot’ art wall.
