CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FRIDAY 27th MARCH
I hope that you are all following the government directive to socially distance yourselves from other unless you absolutely have to leave the family home. The reason that this is essential is that it will help to save lives and to reduce pressure on the already stretched and overworked National Health Service staff. I hope that you all participated in the community show of appreciation last night.
We are still continuing to open the school for the small number of children who have to continue to attend school. This means that the staff who are having to travel to work are potentially putting themselves and their families at risk as they are unable to follow the guidance to stay indoors. We owe these staff a huge debt of gratitude for their dedication and resilience at this time.
If you suspect that you or a member of your family or household may have symptoms of coronavirus or are worried about the coronavirus you can call 111 or contact 111online for advice and guidance.
We will continue to update our families and school community via the school website over the coming days and weeks as information comes to us and circumstances change.
For children who are eligible for free school meals, we have this week been providing packed lunches prepared by our catering staff. We have also been working this week on trying to access vouchers we can distribute to the families of children eligible for free school meals. We hope to be able to begin sharing vouchers with families early next week.
Well done to the children who with the support of their families are continuing to access home learning via the school website. We are adding to this regularly with information and items to support families at home. The next home learning will be uploaded to the website on Tuesday. Please check your children’s year group page. The work is saved under the tab home learning.
Remember that the clocks go forward this weekend (1:00am Saturday night/Sunday morning).
If you have any queries or concerns, you can contact the school by phone (02088889771) or email using email@example.com
Follow the guidance to isolate and socially distance from others.
